Specialty Coffee from Eddy's Coffee

We're a coffee webshop with incredibly fresh coffee beans for connoisseurs in the specialty coffee segment. We're committed to local craftsmanship, and our advice: always buy local. Can't make it during your busy workweek? Our coffee webshop is your number one backup! Learn more about Eddy's Coffee .

We launched a gourmet coffee webshop in 2019, selling fresh coffee beans at the high end of the Dutch consumer market. We call this our "Specialty Coffee." We combine the quality of a traditional coffee roaster with the convenience (and scalability) of a reliable webshop. We focus on coffee lovers who want to enjoy specialty coffee at home (or while working from home).

Our ambition is to become a strong brand with a reliable online coffee shop within the Dutch online coffee market. Local craftsmanship is our top priority; we always ask that you buy local! And if it doesn't work out during a busy workweek, our online coffee shop's position is our number one backup.

We provide honest information about our fresh, premium coffee beans , are genuinely engaged, and build relationships with customers. We continuously develop our process because we're ambitious about what we want to achieve in the coming years. We advise customers to place slightly larger orders—no subscriptions—and keep their coffee fresh in CoffeeVac canisters . This is better for the environment and their wallets.

What is Specialty Coffee?

Specialty coffee is coffee of exceptionally high quality, with unique flavors and aromas. It is produced with attention to detail and craftsmanship, from harvesting the coffee cherries to roasting and brewing. It requires carefully selected and processed coffee beans of the highest quality and is often produced by small-scale producers committed to sustainability and fair trade.

How do I grind my coffee beans?

The grind size depends on the type of coffee maker you use. Generally, the longer the coffee is in contact with the water, the coarser the grind should be. For example, a French press requires a coarser grind than an espresso machine. It's important not to grind the coffee beans too finely, as this can lead to a bitter taste.
